Elika Ghajar

Elika Ghajar is an Iranian painter born in 1971 in Tehran, whose unique voice blends expressive abstraction with figurative undertones. Educated in painting at Azad University of Tehran, she began exhibiting in the mid 1990s, with her first solo exhibition at Golestan Gallery, followed by numerous solo and group exhibitions. She has also participated in the Tehran Auction on three occasions. Predominantly using oil, Elika explores natural elements in the isolation of her canvas. Through trees and branches that are in different stages of bloom, with natural and unnaturalistic colors, she questions our connection to the organic realm.
Her other notable exhibitions include “Two in One” at Ba Gallery in Tehran in 2024, and a group show at Niavaran Cultural Center Iranian female Artists in 1997, where she also won Niavaran Cultural Center’s Iranian Female Artists award.
