Kamelia Pezeshki

Kamelia Pezeshki is an Iranian-Canadian fine art photographer celebrated for her black-and-white portrait and still-life work, often created with film and alternative processes. She earned her BFA from the University of Utah and relocated to Toronto in 1996, where she continues to work with a deep engagement in both traditional and experimental photographic techniques. Pezeshki’s imagery conveys emotional resonance through minimalism and careful composition, capturing character and narrative often through subtle nuance. Her work is held in the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, and she has participated in several group exhibitions, including Hope Echoed at Harbourfront Centre and Limitless during the CONTACT Photography Festival.

Former gallery manager and framer at Toronto’s ARTA Gallery, Pezeshki also brings hands-on expertise in printing and exhibition curation. A founding member of photography collectives such as Photo Junction, her practice is informed by meticulous attention to process as well as visual storytelling.
