Art Toronto 2026

Demon II

Art Toronto, Canada’s oldest and largest international art fair, will host 105 national and international galleries, installations, project spaces, and more. This year marks the 27th edition of the fair, and we’re proud to be returning as one of the participating galleries!

Out of this World strives to create a space for mindful observation and playful imagination by bringing together abstract and surrealist works by Nastaran Mirsadegh, Marcelo Suaznabar, and Reza Derakhshani.

Nastaran Mirsadegh is an Iranian contemporary painter whose works often revolve around architectural settings and rooms that challenge the boundaries between presence and absence, safety and anxiety. Through deliberate use of colour and carefully structured compositions, Mirsadegh creates spaces that invite an imaginative and psychological engagement with the viewer. From surrealist paintings to sculptures, we also present Marcelo Suaznabar, a self-taught Bolivian artist whose work serves as a poetic yet urgent reflection on humanity’s environmental and moral challenges. After much experimentation with different kinds of clay and enamels, he has brought to life characters that are at times hybrids of human faces with animal bodies, and at times they are charming blobs with distorted human features. And last but certainly not least, Reza Derakhsani's Day and Night / Fig Leaf series explores the dualities that shape human existence: light and darkness, presence and absence, ornamentation and ambiguity. These paintings weave together Persian metaphors of paradise, where lush garden imagery creates visual tension between materiality and transcendence, positioning his craft as both an aesthetic and spiritual endeavour.

Step into our booth, to teleport to Mirsadegh’s dreamlike spaces, create myths with Suaznabar’s creatures, or simply get lost in Derakshani's vast canvases!
