Nazanin Bakhshande
Nazanin Bakhshandeh is a Tehran-born painter who lives and works in Canada, blending her Persian heritage with contemporary expression. While she holds a degree in chemistry, she has a long-standing artistic career, and is a member of the Society of Iranian Painters (SIP). Her richly colored mixed-media paintings combine figurative elements such as human subjects, animals, and still life, with bold lines and gestural marks. Through this fusion, Bakhshandeh explores themes of identity, memory, and emotional experience in deeply personal and resonant ways.
Nazanin’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Tehran and Toronto, namely her solo shows at 26 Gallery of Art (2015) and Seyhoon Gallery of Art (2004, 2005), as well as group shows at Amirkabir Cultural Center (1999), Niavaran Cultural Center, Watercolor Biennial (2000), and Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (2023).
