Biography & Practice

Nazanin Bakhshandeh is a Tehran-born painter who lives and works in Canada, blending her Persian heritage with contemporary expression. Holding a degree in chemistry and a long-standing artistic career, she is a member of the Society of Iranian Painters (SIP). Her richly colored mixed-media paintings combine expressive figurative elements—human subjects, animals, and still life—with bold line and gestural patterns. Through this fusion, Bakhshandeh explores themes of identity, memory, and emotional experience in deeply personal and resonant ways.
